Here's what this blog is. I am not going to fuck around with female jeans wearing Hot Topic urchin music here. For the most part, I'm creating this blog for my own enjoyment and for the enjoyment of whoever wants to read it, even if that is nobody at all. I want this to be a source of information for all those that seek it. I want this to be a place for fans of progressive, power, symphonic, avant-garde, and thrash metal to come and educate themselves on what I know.

Now, I don't claim to be the end of all knowledge on the aforementioned subgenres of metal, but I do like to think I have a somewhat advanced knowledge of them. Take what you read here with a grain of salt. I will try to be unbiased in my reviews to the best of my ability, as it is not my goal to senselessly fellate bands that I think are great. After this blog gets going, it should be clear the kind of music I listen to, but I want whoever reads this to get a feel for it themselves.

I'll probably start this blog with a review of Arcturus' "The Sham Mirrors", as it is getting alot of play from me lately. So, stay tuned for that.
